Steve Litwin

Steve Litwin (1947-2022) of Binghamton, New York, played and promoted the chemnitzer concertina for over thirty years. Beginning in 1983, Steve and his wife, Adele, sponsored a concertina jam session during the Polka Fireworks Music Festival held every Independence Day Weekend at the Seven Springs Resort in Champion, Pennsylvania. Each year, dozens of concertina players from across the United States, including some of the top chemnitzer musicians in the country, join this acoustic jam.

Steve was also the Polka Editor for the Polish American Journal and wrote the Polka Insider column for the newspaper. He was a respected Polka music critic and historian.
