Robert Mathiowetz (1918-2008) of Ashland, Wisconsin played on stage for 55 years. His musical career started in high school when he joined his father’s band, the Dream Chasers, before starting his own band, the Solid Sounds, in 1943. Bob was noted for his novelty vocals and his mastery of German songs and various other styles.
