Mickey Stys

Eugene S. (Mickey) Stys (1922-2006) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was a musician for 72 years. He was a bandleader and teacher. He began playing the concertina at the age of 10.

Mickey was a member of the Milwaukee Musicians Association. He also started the Old Timers Concertina Club of Milwaukee that featured 14 concertina players and back up musicians. He transposed and arranged all music for this club.

He played for a record of 12 years at White Rock Gardens in Milwaukee.
