Leo Bartelt

Leo Bartelt (1910-2004) was born in Chicago, Illinois, and later moved to Springfield, Illinois and then Port Richie, Florida. An ardent promoter of the concertina, Mr. Bartelt supported the concertina with words and deeds for many years.

Leo seldom missed attending a concertina event. Before his move to Springfield, he was President of the Central Wisconsin Concertina Club. He also helped organize the Old Timers Concertina Club.

Leo also supported the World Concertina Congress since 1976. Bartelt spent his winters in Florida where he was a member of the Sun Coast Concertina Club.
