Larry Janke
Hall of Fame – 1992
Lawrence (Larry) F. Janke (1925-1991) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin appeared on stage at the young age of 12 years with his father’s band and was proud to play with his father. Larry played the concertina for many social events and often played gratis simply because he loved the happy response to his concertina music.
Larry also taught the concertina and was happiest when a student mastered playing and was sent out to perform.
Even when he couldn’t play due to his health, Larry enjoyed listening to others play the concertina.
