John Sienicki

John Sienicki (1925-2011) of Mishawaka, Indiana was a professional concertina musician. John was capable in all aspects of repair, tuning and arranging. As a teenager, and with the help of his brother, John collected scrap to buy his first concertina.
He was instrumental in forming the Midwest Concertina Fans and the World Concertina Congress. John was the most active concertina player in Michiana.
He performed solo and with bands. He played nursing homes and polka masses using many concertinas. They were called “Concertina Masses” and were accompanied by the Michiana Polka Singers.
