Eddie Rickert

Edward (Concertina Eddie) Rickert (1918-2000) was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and lived in Lakeland, Florida. He started playing the concertina when he was six and as a youngster, he played show houses and competed on amateur shows.

Rickert was self-taught and played the circuit entertaining in nearly every state in the U.S. and Canada. He claims to have played for three ex-presidents which provided much publicity for the concertina. He played benefits until he passed away at 82.
