Andrew Roll
Hall of Fame – 1984
Andy H. Roll (1915-1986) of Saint Louis, Missouri, started his musical career as a concert violinist, which gave him the vast background, appreciation, and ability to play classical as well as traditional concertina music.
His years of experience as a band leader provided him with the excellent repertoire of music which he displays so well.
Andy was an avid concertina fan and supporter, and spent many years as “the man behind the scenes,” making all of the arrangements for many of the band’s appearances.
Andy was also a music composer and a builder of the English duet concertina.
