Sir Charles Wheatstone

Sir Charles Wheatstone (1802–1875), was born in Barnwood, Gloucestershire, England. He was a scientist and inventor of many scientific breakthroughs of the Victorian era, including the English concertina which he invented in 1829; it was the first instrument of what would become the concertina family. Five years prior to Uhlig and for this Sir Charles is also inducted as a member of the first World Concertina Congress Hall of Fame Class.
