Shannon Gunn

Shannon Gunn (1923-2003) of Beloit, Wisconsin picked up his first concertina at the age of five and began to learn from an uncle. He was a band leader and played three nights a week for 18 years.
Shannon played on radio and TV shows, at dance halls, receptions, funerals, private parties, and any place he could including churches and nursing homes.
His Star Concertina has been a big part of his life having played for 68 years. Shannon said, “This instrument has been my life, and I am proud to have done all I could through the years to play wherever anyone would listen.”
