Lloyd (Schnoppsie) O’Donnell (1910-2000) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin taught himself to play the concertina and started performing in a band with his father. He later formed The Lloyd O’Donnell Orchestra.

Lloyd played at dance halls throughout Milwaukee’s south side and in the Racine-Kenosha area. For three years in the 1930s, O’Donnell performed live on Sundays on WRJN radio in Racine. His wife Lydia also performed with his band. Lloyd played for over 60 years, he loved music, he wrote music, he taught music, and he played music.
