Jack Beachly

Jack Beachly is a talented musician that hails from Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He is a multiple Grammy-nominated performer who is formally educated in music and an expert with many instruments including trumpet and bass guitar, but he is best known for his mastery of the chemnitzer concertina.

Jack has been publicly performing with bands since the young age of 11. He learned how to play the instrument on his own by watching many of the best concertina musicians, and he used that experience to develop a unique playing style all his own. His love for the concertina shows through his never ending smile, and many musicians who have shared the stage with him will boast of his professionalism and knowledge of the concertina.

Having performed professionally for almost forty years, Jack has been prominently featured with great bands such as Frankie Liszka and TBC, Trel Tones, Toledo Polkamotion, Dynasonics, John Gora and Gorale, Ethnic Jazz, and his own band, Common Bond. These performances have earned him accolades from music lovers across the country and organizations like the International Polka Association and United States Polka Association.

Jack has helped many younger musicians become better through lessons or simply taking the time during breaks from his own performances to answer questions or share his knowledge. He has always gone out of his way to help musicians of any level to better themselves. Jack has performed and recorded with many of the industry’s best musicians and he is known to always come prepared, play his parts, and make it a pleasure to be part of the group. He has devoted his life to music and his love for the concertina is very evident.
