George Servatius

George Servatius (1924-2011) of Melrose, Minnesota was a professional entertainer known for his Melrose Clown Band. George was also a composer, arranger and teacher of the concertina.

He sponsored the annual concertina party in Melrose and devoted his career to the concertina and servicing the concertina in his studio and shop.

He had a six-piece old-time dance band for over 60 years, playing at all the major ballrooms in the area. He was the owner of G.S. Music Store in Melrose where he taught over 800 students, young and old.
