Ed Starzynski

Ed Starzynski (Star) (1916-1987) of West Dundee, Illinois was the most active concertinist in the Lake County, Indiana and Calumet City, Illinois area. Ed was a “Gold Star” member of the American Federation of Musicians.

Ed taught the Silberhorn method of concertina and had 14 students at the time of his induction but had many more students in the past. He performed on the radio and television for positive exposure of the concertina to the public.

Ed would always open his home to touring musicians.
